An issue simmering beneath the surface of standard medical procedures for newborns is the widespread administration of Vitamin K shots immediately after birth. These shots, far from being a harmless vitamin, are a synthetic formulation many times more potent than what a child would receive naturally. Despite the well-documented side effects—shock, jaundice, and cardiac or respiratory distress—medical professionals persist in pressuring new parents to agree to this intervention, often neglecting to disclose these potential risks.
This begs the question, is the healthcare industry primarily concerned with the safety and health of our newborns, or is revenue generation the driving force behind such practices?
Synthetic Vitamin K contains nine milligrams of benzyl alcohol. This substance is administered directly to babies who are only minutes old, targeting their still-developing livers—the organ responsible for detoxification. Given this, it is not surprising that many infants develop jaundice, a condition characterized by high levels of bilirubin, within two days of birth. Synthetic Vitamin K is one of the acknowledged culprits, along with shock and cardiac or respiratory distress, in causing this.
Further complicating the issue, the liver is also crucial in detoxifying the 250 micrograms of aluminum present in the Hepatitis B vaccine, another treatment given within 12 hours of birth in most places. These parallel pressures on the newborn’s liver can precipitate severe health issues.
The Hepatitis B virus is primarily transmitted via blood and sexual activities. Unlike in other countries in Asia, the Middle East, and Africa, where between 2-10% of adult populations are chronically infected, the majority of infants in the U.S. are not at risk for Hepatitis B. Yet, despite the routine screening for Hepatitis B in pregnant women, allowing medical professionals to identify any possible risks before birth, the vaccine is still administered universally.
The aluminum adjuvant in the Hepatitis B vaccine is worth particular attention. In all other injectable medications, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) governs a maximum amount of aluminum considered safe to receive within a 24-hour period. For an eight or ten-pound infant with healthy kidneys, this limit would be around 30 micrograms. Yet, the Hepatitis B vaccine contains a startling 250 micrograms of aluminum, which is administered to infants, premature infants, and very low birth weight babies alike. Following vaccination, these babies often experience apnea, SIDS, and breathing problems, their oxygen saturation rates dropping alarmingly.
When babies receive their two-month vaccines, they are usually given eight at the same time. The aluminum contained in these vaccines can exceed 1,200 micrograms—hundreds of times more than the FDA safety limit for any other injectable. Despite this, vaccines are exempt from this safety limit because they’re considered a public health measure.
This lackadaisical approach towards safety limits for vaccines is symptomatic of a larger issue—the cozy relationship between pharmaceutical companies, regulators, and healthcare professionals. The Centers for the Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) argue that aluminum is prevalent in our environment and even in breast milk, implying that the aluminum in vaccines should not be a cause for concern.
However, this argument overlooks a key point: the physiological difference between ingestion and injection. When a substance is ingested, it passes through the digestive tract, gets broken down by enzymes and digestive juices, and is eliminated by the kidneys. Conversely, when a substance is injected, it quickly enters the capillaries and the bloodstream, potentially crossing the blood-brain barrier, where it can accumulate in the brain. The suggestion that our scientists do not understand this fundamental difference or are intentionally overlooking it is alarming.
The health and well-being of newborns, the most vulnerable members of our society, should be our paramount concern. The lack of transparency and full disclosure of potential side effects of these medical interventions is a breach of the parents’ right to informed consent.
For change to occur, the demand for increased transparency, thorough investigations, and stricter safety requirements for pharmaceutical companies and regulators must grow louder. As informed individuals, we should foster open conversations, challenging the status quo, and ensuring the healthcare industry truly prioritizes health over revenue. It is time to re-evaluate medical protocols and question whether the ‘standard’ procedures are indeed the best for our newborns.
6 Ways to Detoxify After Injection
Unfortunately, most new parents are pressured into allowing these injections for their babies. Ensuring the health of your newborn after receiving the Vitamin K and Hepatitis B vaccines is important. As parents, it’s important to protect your child by assisting their bodies in detoxifying any additional substances. Here are some safe and natural methods:
1 | Breastfeeding
Breast milk is a powerful natural detoxifier for babies. It contains antioxidants, probiotics, and other essential nutrients that can help strengthen a baby’s immune system and aid in the detoxification process.
2 | Encourage Regular Bowel Movements
Regular bowel movements are a primary way babies eliminate waste and potential toxins. For newborns, breastfeeding encourages this process. For older infants, incorporate fiber-rich foods, such as pureed fruits and vegetables, into their diet.
3 | Ensure Adequate Hydration
For newborns, breast milk or formula provides all the necessary hydration. For older infants, small amounts of water can be introduced. Hydration helps maintain healthy body function and aids in flushing out toxins.
4 | Probiotics
Consider a probiotic supplement designed for babies. Probiotics can aid digestion and promote a healthy gut, essential for toxin elimination.
5 | Gentle Massage
Regular, gentle massages can stimulate a baby’s circulatory and lymphatic systems, aiding in toxin elimination. Use a mild, natural oil like coconut or olive oil for the massage.
6 | Safe Sun Exposure
Moderate sunlight can stimulate Vitamin D production, a crucial vitamin for detoxification and overall health. However, remember to always protect your baby’s delicate skin with appropriate sun-safe clothing.
