In a move that has raised significant concerns among advocates of personal freedom and religious rights, Hawaii’s House Health Committee has voted to advance HB1118, a bill aimed at repealing the state’s religious exemption from vaccine mandates for school attendance. Introduced at the request of Governor Josh Green, MD, this legislation is progressing rapidly through the legislative process, prompting questions about the erosion of individual liberties in favor of governmental authority.
The swift advancement of HB1118 has been met with alarm, particularly given the recent history of public health directives during the COVID-19 pandemic. Critics argue that the medical and public health establishments have previously disseminated misleading information regarding various aspects of COVID-19 and its associated vaccines. Despite this, there appears to be a renewed push to expand governmental power over personal health decisions, particularly those involving children.
This development is perceived by some as part of a broader agenda by the pharmaceutical industry to eliminate any form of choice concerning vaccinations. The concern is that by removing religious exemptions, the state is setting a precedent that could lead to the compulsory administration of vaccines, regardless of individual beliefs or concerns. This is especially troubling in states where a single political party holds significant control, as it may pave the way for similar legislative efforts elsewhere.
The expedited nature of this bill’s progression has also been a point of contention. Introduced only two weeks prior to the committee’s vote, the public was given a mere 48 hours’ notice before the decision was made. Such haste has led to accusations of deliberate suppression of public discourse and a lack of transparency in the legislative process.
Should HB1118 pass, Hawaii would join a small but growing number of states that do not offer religious or personal conscience exemptions from vaccine mandates. This shift raises important questions about the balance between public health objectives and the protection of individual rights.

Thank you Ty and Charlene for all your hard work to get the truth out to the masses.
Josh Green is also an Emergency Room physician who spearheaded Hawaii’s Covid vaccination program. No surprise on the insanity of these new bills. Green received donations from Big Pharma and is in their pockets. Any politician who still pushes for these experimental mRNA vaccines are Big Pharma shills and they should be voted out! It’s obvious they are working to protect Big Pharma’s interests, not for our health and safety. 😡
This proposed bill is very troubling. This is the sneaky method they continue to implement to “push through” any agenda. When they couldn’t kill enough Americans with covid and vaccines last time, they must step up the process. Their success is growing and any Christians should be aware and pray like crazy to ask the Lord to intervene. I personally pray against HB1118, that it dies right there on the first attempt! Thank you to TTAC for continually keeping us informed.
